El peor dolor de Salieri es ver que él toda su vida se tuvo que esforzar tremendamente para lograr ser considerado sobresaliente, y en cambio Mozart que no tenía ni la mitad de su edad, no solo era capaz de replicar d eoído lo que otros tocaban con haberlo escuchado una sola vez, sino que era capaz de mejorarlo de una forma tremenda. Mozart era un genio, de esos que pocas veces nacen en la Historia de la humanidad entera. Por eso, para mí, Mozart merece estar en el cielo de los inmortales de todos los tiempos.

  2. Lovely film but read up on Salieri and you'll find that the film is entirely fiction both as to his mediocrity and his jealousy. Neither appear to have been the case – on the contrary, he was one of the most renowned musicians and composers in Europe at the time. The film did him dirty for the sake of introducing that necessity of good drama: conflict.

  3. F. Murray Abraham's shamelessly exaggerated MUGGING in tight closeup was an embarrassment to the profession. Apparently audiences are so dense they need to have it pushed right in their faces in great big letters: "SALIERI SUSPICIOUS!! SALIERI EMBARRASSED!! SALIERI UNCOMFORTABLE!! And the dumbass "Academy" voters think subtlety would be wasted on U.S. audiences. How insulting — but it might be true.
