Columnist Professor Walter Russell Mead says Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is the most popular leader in the European Union at the present time.
“She has a 52 per cent approval rate, and none of the others are close to that,” Professor Mead told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“She’s a very intelligent woman; she’s not going to start her time in office with a fight with the European Union that results in Italy’s budget being cut in various ways.”
