Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is under fire after her government released a Libyan general wanted by the international criminal court for alleged war crimes. Najeem Osema Almasri Habish, the head of the Libyan judicial police is wanted by the ICC for war crimes he committed in a prison near Tripoli where migrants are detained. On Sunday, he was arrested by Italian police in Turin, where he had come to watch a football match, on the basis of the ICC’s arrest warrant. Italy is a founding member of the ICC and is obliged to arrest and surrender wanted individuals but just two days after the arrest, he was released, after an Italian court ruled that prosecutors had made a procedural mistake. He was reportedly repatriated to Libya on an Italian government plane. He returned to a heroic welcome in Tripoli. Watch for more.

Semplicemente le carceri libiche fungono da deterrente ( comunque insufficiete) per diminuire le partenze.
Chiaramente queste carceri per fare paura devono essere dirette da qualche cattivone come quello che i servizi segreti italiani hanno riaccompagnato in Libia.
Quindi di cosa vi stupite? Meloni fa gli interessi del suo Paese.
Per esempio é comodo fare i ben pensanti radical-chic per poi dire all'Italia che i migranti non possono circolare in Europa, e respingerli alla frontiera con la Francia o l'Austria.
Per fare entrare migliaia di migranti ogni anno bisogna poi garantire ai migranti una sistemazione adeguata e un lavoro con cui mantenersi.
Molto facile fare entrare tutti per mantenere una fetta di elettorato e poi non curarsi del fatto che tutta questa gente che arriva diventeranno disadattati, manovalanza della criminalità, dello spaccio di droga e della prostituzione.
Quindi i migranti é meglio che capiscano che partire non conviene e quando arrivi non avrai ciò che cerchi. Sarebbe scorretto incentivare le persone per venire in italia a vivere nel disagio..

They let him go not because he has a foreign nationality other than Libyan nationality and he exploited some legal loopholes until he was able to return to western Libya. Just so you know, he cannot even go to eastern and southern Libya. The International Criminal Court is just an illusion and its decisions are not applied to war criminals like the criminal Israeli Netanyahu and the American George W. Bush.
