President Meloni meets with the President of the Republic of Ecuador

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met with the President of the Republic of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa Azín, at Palazzo Chigi today.

The meeting focused on the shared will to strengthen bilateral relations, starting with economic cooperation, with particular reference to the areas of defence and critical minerals, and to fight transnational organised crime and drug trafficking, also within the framework of collaboration with the European Union. 

The two leaders also expressed their satisfaction with the signing of an agreement on migration aimed at facilitating regular mobility and boosting cooperation in the fight against irregular migration and human trafficking.
