Dichiarazioni alla stampa con il Vice Presidente degli Stati Uniti d’America, J. D. Vance

Buongiorno a tutti. 

Sono onorata di accogliere a Palazzo Chigi il Vicepresidente degli Stati Uniti d’America, J.D. Vance, che non vedo da un sacco di tempo! Come sapete, abbiamo avuto un fantastico incontro ieri alla Casa Bianca, a Washington, e questa presenza è un’altra grande occasione per rafforzare la nostra cooperazione bilaterale. Molti i temi dei quali abbiamo discusso nella giornata di ieri; molti i temi dei quali discuteremo anche nella giornata di oggi, ma sicuramente Italia e Stati Uniti sono determinati a rafforzare la loro cooperazione. Noi crediamo che l’Italia possa essere un partner estremamente importante nell’Europa e nel Mediterraneo per gli Stati Uniti d’America, e sicuramente c’è un rapporto privilegiato tra noi del quale io vado molto orgogliosa.

I want to add that I’m proud that you decided to pass Easter here in Rome and we really hope you will enjoy this time and that I’m honoured to welcome you here in Palazzo Chigi after the wonderful meeting we had yesterday in Washington in which we have been discussing many topics, many others we will discuss today, but in any case Italy and the United States are committed to enhance their strong cooperation. We think Italy can be a reliable and a serious partner in Europe, in the Mediterranean area. And so we are proud to have this special relationship with the U.S. and with this administration.
