Meloni’s response came following reports that Rome’s officials discussed a SpaceX deal during the Italian Prime Minister’s unofficial visit to Florida, where she met incoming US President Donald Trump. The reports sparked controversy in the country and the opposition demanded a response from the Prime Minister on the potential deal. “I evaluate foreign investments through a singular lens,” PM Giorgia Meloni said, “which is the lens of national interest.”
