  1. It’s interesting that beautiful south is always less advanced then cold north’s. Same in USA where people in the south were/are thought of as uneducated and religious. I think this is because in the warmer parts of the world you can enjoy life more instead of going to work to make a living to go on vacation to somewhere beautiful.

  2. Meloni will only worsen the actual state of affairs in Italy. Since 1860, the so call Unificatio the ancien kingdom of the Two Sicilies became a colony of the north. Mafia is the hidden hand of the government from Rome. The entire system from the core is rotting and unlike France and Germany it has a real internal colony, “the south is a internal colony.“ The state is not represented in the south. Poverty since 1860 has increased and Meloni will not want to solve any thing except aggaravating condition, continuing depredating as they have done in the last 164 years. The UK is falling for the same reasons (Starmer England) is not UK unlike the Italian internal colony (South Italy) in UK Nothern Irland, Wales and Scotland “have a saying“ Southern Italy, ex kingdom of the Two Sicilies is represented by mafia, “Absence of State with mafia.“ If the south will become industrialised then the north will not have reliable market to sale its goods and steal the wealth from the south be it material or labour. Meloni should practice what she preaches, she criticised Macron about African French colonies but she denies that the noth Italian wealth is created by having a internal colony. You have only scratch the surfice, the north is rich (Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia Romagna) Because of wear the registered address are located. Many parasitic industries with government funds have branches in the south but pay tax in the north. This leaves the south as inactive territory and if any one comes up with a local industry this is wear the mafia comes in and make sures that wil not survive “with the government blessing.“

  3. The EU needs to be broken apart. Like the left , the EU is just wasting the people's money giving it away to fake Muslim / Arab asylum seekers and wide open borders. Close the borders, deport all the illegals and money will go back into the peoples pockets where it should be.

  4. It's funny to me that what the northern Italians are saying about the southern Italians is very similar to what the Americans who live in the North say about the Americans who live in the south. There is often quite a bit of truth in it. It seems that Georgia Maloney has some rather disturbing ambitions still in play. Those constitutional changes which give outsized power to an authoritarian minority have led to disaster in the past. It's also ironic to me that we face the same situation in the USA. The Republicans are a minority rule party and they are making changes to law that solidify their grip on minority rule. Birds of a feather.

  5. As a northeastern Italian, I welcome the reform because I believe that local governments must be held accountable if something doesn't work as it should. Also, I've never understood why certain regions like Trentino Alto Adige, Sicily, or Valle D'Aosta get preferential treatment by being "Autonomous", but mine doesn't. That's not fair – in my opinion, everyone should play by the same rules. Lastly, my region manages core services like regional healthcare and regional trains very efficiently compared to other regions of Italy. That means that services will improve if we use our own money to take care of our infrastructure/services etc. I believe it can be a big opportunity for every region because people pay more attention when something concerns their own territory.
