Italian PM Giorgia Meloni welcomes British Prime Minister Keir Starmer for bilateral meet in Rome

British PM, Keir Starmer, was welcomed by his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni in Rome on September 16. Upon his visit to Italy for the bilateral meet, UK PM Keir Starmer was accorded with ceremonial welcome. Keir Starmer’s visit to Rome followed trips to Berlin, Paris, and Dublin as he set renewing ties with EU leaders at the top of his diplomatic agenda. As per Reuters, Keir Starmer has promised “a new era” in cross-border cooperation to tackle people smuggling gangs.
