President Meloni’s statement on President of the Republic Mattarella’s visit to Caivano

Today’s visit to Parco Verde in Caivano by President of the Republic Mattarella is a tangible sign of the State’s closeness and support for Don Maurizio Patriciello, whose appeal in August 2023 marked the beginning of the area’s civic revival. In just over a year, the sports centre, places of education and culture and re-established good administrative practices have given trust and hope back to honest citizens. This regeneration process is driven by the commitment and good will of the families, associations, local organisations and companies operating in the area that have never given in to degradation and lawlessness. The Government is resolutely and steadfastly continuing in its efforts, now focusing on the redevelopment of social housing, with individuals convicted of Camorra-related crimes having recently been evicted from the homes they were illegally occupying.
