He was pushing her so she would pull the trigger and he could avoid being the bad guy.
He's passive aggressive, this is a classic case of how to lose a guy in 10 days. When you're stuck with somebody that you don't want to be stuck to you display every icky icky thing about yourself and then some to get them to leave you. This way you don't have to bear the responsibility or the burden to be the one who abandoned the relationship. Classic Jax.
