The UK has shown “great interest” in Italy’s migration deal with Albania, Giorgia Meloni said, as Sir Keir Starmer claimed his Government would make a return to “British pragmatism” on border control.
The Italian premier also brushed aside humanitarian concerns about the agreement as “completely groundless” while the British Prime Minister praised Rome’s “remarkable progress” in curbing irregular arrivals by sea.

Its very easy, the prison sentence for child exploitation is so low because most judges, police higher ups, and politicians are pedos, so they dont want to rot away in prison for decades themselves if they are caught, just enough time for the public to forget and they can go and lead normal lives, but if you post a tweet the police deem offensive, well its 3 years in jail.

One of Meloni's allies, who was internal affairs minister a few years ago, is on trial for trying to stop a ship (which were arriving almost twice weekly) full of illegal immigrants from landing in an Italian port. The boat forced its way and landed anyway. The female captain was German, and the boat was sporting a Dutch flag, but the NGO was Spanish… go figure.. He (and many others) has always sustained that the rescuers have agreements with the Libyan ferrymen who are forcing immigrants to leave in boats. They apparently wait until they see the rescue ship, then they throw them into the sea at a few miles from the african coast. The ships then "save" the immigrants and head straight to Italy. They have footage of some rescue ship members actually handing back life jackets to the illegals' "ferrymen" to be reused as part of their deal
